Have a nice day

It is the week before Halloween!!!

I love Halloween. I worked on kids costumes over the week and was getting it all wrapped up today because tomorrow it is time to party. (Our first of 5 celebrations). One of my favorite memories growing up was my Dad fighting with the sewing machine to make our costumes. Yes, my dad was the sewer in the family. My parents have a Kennmore machine with all metal parts it is like operating a robot.

Luis was sweet today and brought my sewing machine out and got it all set up and ready to go. So I was able to get most of Matias's owl costume finished which I am basing off of this idea. He is grey owl so I am re-purposing some left over IKEA fabric that I have. I also have added some spots of green, left over from random projects. In the end it turning out, however at one point most of the feathers were not straight but it was easy enough to patch right up.

Milli princess Leia costume is close to being done I just have to get her buns done and she will be ready to fight the dark side.

I will make sure to share pictures soon :)

Sunday=Funday

We had a great 4th of July weekend. We ate hotdogs, hung out with family and all that jazz.
Best memory of the weekend is watching fireworks last night, how the kids were in wonder and just taking in the summer night.

Here is our funny family photo from today.... I was trying to show how to Not use a ring sling. When two others jumped in to show their personalities.

Christmas Recap

Here we are with our new Christmas gear on! Matias legs are resting on the bump. Luis is looking handsome in his new North Face Jacket. He is starting to look like an "outdoorsy" type :) I am ok with that he looks pretty cute no matter what he is wearing.

I consider this a Holiday event. Congrats ,Jim and Christine (who are in Paris!!) The wedding was really beautiful and we had a blast all though we left before the dancing due to a pretty squirrely toddler. It was great to see everyone and Jim and Christine are so in love, which makes me extremely romantic.

Matias showing off some moves before the dancing had begun!
We spent a ton of time with family over the last 2 days and it is a blessing to have such a diverse group of people to celebrate with. I am truly honored to be part of such a warm, caring and generous group of people.
In other news, I will be 26 in a week! *eek* I am working on my application tonight for the MSW program, we will see if I get in. I am leaving that one up to the big guy and just putting all of my paperwork in place. It seems like the right thing to do at this point in my life. I hope to serve people in some capicty.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Sassy pants easter party!

Hi all we back! It was great to get away from the comptuer and tv! I was happy to have some time with my parents and eat some yummy food. See some friends and go to church and say all of my favorite easter sentances. (HE HAS RISEN INDEED) We have no pictures of this but Matias got some rubber boots when we put them on him, he wore them all morning. When they fell off he wanted me to put them back on... So cute!

Here are some lovely photos from easter at my parents house. As Matias grows his sassy pants personality appears more and more. I am ok with this trait. However, it never allows for us to get a decent picture of him anymore.

I am still working on getting the viedo of him posted, hopefully when both computers are operating again I will be able to do so! Until then enjoy Mr. Sassy Pants
